An Introduction!

So lets get something clear right up front....If you stumbled across these inane ramblings hoping to get some deep and meaningful insight into the dietary process that Jacques Kallis follows the day of a big match, or AB's bowel movements, you are probably going to be disappointed...in fact, im prepared to bet the farm on it.

I am a British Born South African domiciled crazy creative, who through a series of mysterious mishaps woke up one day to find that the ideas i came up with while staring at my belly button in the bath (dont try and say that after a few drinks) were actually quite popular amongst global cricket fans...

A few years later, and nearly 1000 international broadcast cricket matches - and i find myself pretty much on the ride of a lifetime... i get the opportunity to work with some amazing people around the world, and some pretty famous ones too - and all in the name of fun, cricket, word peace and most importantly damn fine work!

This is not a corporate blog, so i wont be dwelling on the strategic side of what I do, if you really wanna know just ask.

I do believe however, that the disciplines of planning an event of this scale, combined with the challenges faced in delivering something as organic as this, halfway around the world, can translate into scenarios that will resonate with many.

I will also, because I can, be sharing some of my personal views of Sri Lanka - from the obscure music choices made in public spaces to the suicidal madmen that moonlight as cab drivers, and the paint stripper-esque local rum called Arrak which by personal deedpoll should be banned unless transported under EU hazmat guidelines.

OK, enough of an intro, step up to the crease, take a deep breath - and appreciate the view!

Onwards and Upwards
A
